  28. The real test is to send the same the same way 2 or 3 times with each
  29. modem and time them.. the 33.6 throughput and connect speed are two
  30. different things,, the 33.6 is mostly code and compression tweaking..
  31. a true 28.8 connect is really very fast,, I have aV.everything that
  32. connects at "28.8" with a BBS that has nothing but Sportster 33.6 on
  33. it and I have repeatedly downloaded zipped files at 3600 to 3900
  34. characters per second that is compared to my best 14.4 connection of
  35. 1625 to 1700 characters per second...... Try the test and let me know
  36. what you find... I would be interested to know how it comes out...
